As a registered agent of the Veterans Administration, we can usually get your VA Certificate of Eligibiliy for you in minutes, rather than weeks or even months, using the VA's online ACE system. Why wait? Get started today!

Obtaining A VA Certificate Of Eligibility

When you apply for a VA home loan, the VA determines your eligibility for Veteran loans. If you are qualified, the Department of Veterans Affairs will issue you a certificate of eligibility to be used when applying for a VA home loan. You will need to request a certificate of eligibility for a VA adjustable rate or fixed rate VA loan if you have not already done so. You may also need to request a Certificate of Eligibility for other reasons, including:

  • An original determination of eligibility for the veteran loan
  • A request to replace a lost certificate of eligibility
  • A request for restoration of the Loan benefit after payment in full of a previous VA home loan
  • Issuance of a certificate reflecting current outstanding veteran loans for refinance purposes

Request Your Certificate

After filling out our online request form, a VA Loan Place.com home loan specialist will contact you as soon as possible to verify your data before requesting the VA certificate of eligibility for you. Our goal is to help you make the best choice in Veteran loans, whether it's a VA adjustable rate loan or a fixed rate loan, and to help you maximize your benefits.

Already Have a VA Loan?

Did you know you can also re-use your VA loan eligibility for another VA loan if you have completed payments on your previous note and no longer own the property?

When applying for such re-eligibility, be sure to include copies of any paperwork that proves your old VA loan has been paid off -- a "paid-in-full" letter from your bank, or a copy of the "HUD-1 settlement statement" paperwork.

Step 3 Step 3 - DD-214

ImportantThis step may not be needed.

If needed, getting your DD-214 would be the third step towards getting your VA Certificate of Eligibility.

If the VA has a copy of a DD-214, it is usually because the veteran attached a copy (or sometimes, the original) to his or her application for disability or education benefits. If you've lost your original DD-214 or a copy and you are receiving (or applied for in the past) disability or education benefits from the VA, they may have a copy (or the original, if you gave it to them) on file. At the very least, if you are currently receiving benefits (or did in the past), they should be able to provide a "Statement of Service", which can be used instead of a "DD-214".
